The 2022 O Raio da Vella is surprisingly fruit-driven, tender and gentle. And even though the parameters are not that different from those of the 2021 I tasted next to it, the tactile sensation and texture of the wine is quite different; it's softer and fruitier, approachable, reflecting a warmer year. 3,000 bottles were filled from a 2,500-liter oak foudre, where the wine matured for 12 months.
