Description
Fritz Haag Riesling Feinherb is the winery's semi-dry Riesling spearhead. A liquid treasure that combines the delicacy of fruit with the herbal touch characteristic of a dry Riesling. This combination results in a wine with juicy flavours, a perfect balance between sweetness and acidity, and subtle slate notes that make it a real pleasure for the palate. Its refreshing and fruity nature makes it the quintessential summer wine.
Winemaking
Made exclusively from Riesling grapes, harvested by hand in 20kg crates and with several cold treatments to ensure optimum ripeness. At the winery, the grapes are directly pressed and then left in stainless steel tanks prior to fermentation in order to decant impurities. The alcohol content of Fritz Haag Riesling Feinherb is 11.0%.
Taste
On the nose the classic characteristics of a good feinherb stand out: vineyard peach, granny Smith green apple and tart grapefruit. It is a light wine, ideal for summer, with a discreet fruity sweetness, a jovial acidity and delicate aromas. It is a typical Mosel slate Riesling, offering optimal drinking pleasure when young, but with an ageing potential of up to 10 years.
