Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The NV 10 Year Old Tawny Port was bottled in 2015 with a long cork. This is a lovely 10 Year Tawny, elegant in the mid-palate, but complex, precise and focused. There's a bit of a bite on the finish, giving it some length to go with the flavor. The next day it was more about power, with considerable intensity of old-tawny flavor as well, more than I normally see in a 10 Year Old. This is a fine one for the category. It showed best around 56 degrees Fahrenheit. Don't drink it too warm. Pricing was not available when this was written.

Description
Niepoort Old Tawny 10 years comes from the historic Portuguese house of Niepoort, one of only three remaining family-owned port producers. This house, with roots dating back to 1842, has maintained an unwavering tradition in port wine production, and the Old Tawny 10 years is a testament to their expertise.
Winemaking
The grape varieties used are: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinto Cão, Tinta Francisca, Tinta Amarela, Sousão and Tinta Roriz. It has an alcohol content of 19.5% and a total acidity of 4.38g.
Age-marked Tawnies, such as the "10 years", are blended from different wines that are on average 10 years old. Long ageing in small wooden casks gives the Tawny its characteristic colour. The main characteristics of an aged Tawny are complexity of aromas, freshness and a persistent, refined bouquet. The vinification of these wines is carried out in small old oak casks, located in the cellars of Vila Nova de Gaia. The balanced combination of the different characteristics and ages is the work of Niepoort's Master Blender, José Nogueira.
Taste
Niepoort Old Tawny 10 years has a tawny colour and displays aromas of dried apricots, dried tangerine peel and lemon with hints of toffee, caramel and honey. On the palate, it reveals dried fruits with a fiery, spirity finish. It has great structure and a long finish. It is full-bodied and succulent, with lots of sweet fruit and a subtle lingering finish.
It is ideal with dried fruits, nuts, almonds, sultanas, peaches, apricots and others. It is also perfect with egg-based desserts, cakes with dried fruits, coffee and vanilla. Served slightly chilled, it can also be an excellent aperitif.
