Description

When we talk about sweet wines, there is one name that always appears among the most special: Oremus Tokaji Late Harvest. This is not just a wine, it is a piece of history in every glass. Born in the legendary Tokaj region in Hungary, this wine is a real gem created by the Oremus winery, part of the prestigious Vega Sicilia family.
Its secret lies in its blend of indigenous varieties: Furmint, the backbone of the Tokaji, with its vibrant acidity; Hárslevelű, which gives it body and a honeyed touch; Zéta and Kövérszőlő, providing depth; and finally Sárgamuskotály, which envelops everything with its unmistakable floral notes. Each grape has its role and together they create a balance that can be felt in every sip.
The vineyards of Oremus Tokaji Late Harvest are on volcanic soils full of history and minerals, where the vines, some more than 20 years old, struggle against an extreme climate that forces them to give their best. And this is where the magic happens: the famous Botrytis cinerea, the "noble rot", does its job, concentrating the sugars and enhancing the aromas.

Winemaking

In the winery, the process of Oremus Tokaji Late Harvest is pure patience and mastery. It is fermented slowly in stainless steel tanks, allowing the wine to develop its personality unhurriedly. It then rests for two months in small Hungarian oak barrels, absorbing spicy and creamy nuances, and finally refines in bottle for a further six months. With a concentration of 100 grams of sugar per litre, it achieves a perfect balance between sweetness and freshness, creating an unforgettable sensory experience.

Taste

From the first sip, Oremus Tokaji Late Harvest is a caress to the palate. The sweetness is there, yes, but perfectly balanced with a refreshing acidity that makes the wine not cloying, but inviting to keep drinking. Notes of ripe apricot, candied orange peel, a touch of honey and a subtle background of sweet spices. And the best thing is that long, elegant and enveloping finish, which leaves in the mouth the memory of a wine made with passion and patience.
It is not just a sweet wine. It is a journey. An experience. And an invitation to discover why Tokaji has been called "the wine of kings and the king of wines".
