Description
In the picturesque enclave of Valliguières, in the Gard, lies Domaine du Petit Oratoire, a winery that reflects the passion and commitment of its young winemaker, Lori Haon. After completing her oenology studies in Alsace, Lori discovered an abandoned vineyard of about 20 hectares in 2016 through an advertisement on Leboncoin. At just 21 years old, she decided to embark on the adventure of reclaiming this land, where she found century-old Cariñena and Garnacha vines in the undergrowth. Since then, he has cultivated his vines following organic and biodynamic principles, obtaining Demeter certification. In the winery, vinifications are carried out naturally, without oenological products, using indigenous yeasts and with minimal or non-existent doses of sulphites, achieving wines that are an authentic reflection of their terroir and the values with which they are made.
Winemaking
Le Petit Oratoire Bernache is an unusual and surprising blend of Bourboulenc and Garnacha. This red wine is made with grapes from clay and limestone soils, grown without the use of chemicals or synthetics. Vinification is carried out without any intervention, allowing spontaneous fermentations to develop with indigenous yeasts. The wine does not undergo fining or filtration, and is bottled without the addition of sulphites, respecting the purity of the fruit and the expression of the terroir as much as possible.
Taste
